For the second time Michael Roberts’ travel to the 2019 season has suffered a major setback.
Less than a week after being waived by the Detroit Lions after a exchange with the New England Patriots, the tight end has been released by the Green Bay Packers after failing a physical.
Thanks last December, to a shoulder injury that landed him, Roberts has seen his career take a few turns and spins in the months since. The transaction between the Lions and Pats fizzled out due to Roberts failing a physical to the same reason as he continues his rehabilitation and the 25-year-old has landed back on the waiver wire.
Roberts has appeared in 23 games with the Lions and has career totals of 13 receptions for 146 yards and three touchdowns.
